Project Summary

The purpose of the Calibrated Peer Review Tool (CPRT) is to automate the process of receiving submissions, distributing them to peers, receiving peer reviews, and matching them accordingly.

Process

Existing problem: There is no official website for This peer review application

The main purpose of a website is to have users upload assignments and grades accordingly.

 Goals

This product is intended to facilitate the calibrated peer review process on a small academic scale. Its primary function is to automate the peer review assignment and distribution that is currently being completed manually. Through the use of a custom web application, the system will be able to upload files, download files, allow students to select teams, as well as submit and receive confidential feedback from their peers. At present, the system is only intended as a facilitator of the peer review process and is not considered a full learning management system or replacement for other course support materials. This product is not currently being developed for all interfaces and is not intended to be supported on mobile devices.

Audience

This SRS document is intended for IBM stakeholders, Professor Bastian Tenbergen, student teams involved in the development of the system,  student users involved in the class which uses the Calibrated Peer Review tool, and those that are interested in the software requirements, specifications, and development of the Calibrated Peer Review system. This document is intended to be used by members of the development team who will implement and verify that the system is functioning as intended.
